Revival

without comments

The following comments were posted by me on a christian forum where a poster was talking about being in the best church & how the pastor there was saying that until revival happens in the congregations of our churches, there will not be revival in the “streets and alleyways of this nation”.
******************************************************************

My thoughts are, as long as we are sitting in our pews & aisles ‘getting’ revival, we’ll never be in the streets & alleyways of this nation.

I am amazed at the amount of time I spent, my family spent ‘inside’ the church walls. Good grief, how are you suppose to interact with the human race, when what is required of you is attending church 24/7 ad nauseum? Okay, maybe not 24/7 in our case, but just about.

We need to stop waiting for the revival to happen in our churches and know that it has happened right here in our hearts. Then take it with you wherever you go.

The church I use to attend is having a seminar. The topic … “How to grow a healthy church”. This will be more formula’s, more how to’s, more so called spiritual behaviours to follow. The church just keeps bringing in programs & seminars to balance the effects of legalism on the body of Christ there.

They keep trying to bring revival to the hearts of the people.

Thing is, hearts that are encased in legalism will never know revival.

Zoe the Menopausal Agnostic

with 10 comments

Looks around, slips into her blog, changes the theme and contemplates the meaning of her blog.  Can she do it again?  Meh, maybe, maybe not.  It’s quiet here now, so maybe, no one will notice?

Hey, if Judith Hayes at The Happy Heretic can come back after a two year sabbatical, maybe I can too.  I’ve only been on a short break.

Now, how to proceed?

I think I’ll just start at the beginning.  When I first started blogging, I was still a Christian.  So, in an effort to pull it all together (yeah like that will ever happen) I’m going to go back into the copies of those early posts and put some of them here.  When I’m done that, I might start blogging again, in the present.

In other words, I’m trying to get organized.

Closing Up Shop

with 9 comments

Hi Everyone,

Zoe’s closing her blog now for good. It’s really time now. :-)

It is safe to remove me from your blogroll and feeds. If there’s a link to another site that you’ve been connecting to through from here, be sure to get it bookmarked soon. I’ll leave this notice up for a few days more to give everyone a chance to know that this blog will now be closed.

Love and hugs to all.

I’ll be around. :-)

Where in the world are you?

Terry left this video url in the comment section.  I soon realized that I’d seen it before and it touched my heart then as it does now.  Just in case you haven’t seen it, I thought I’d put it here today for all to see.

Happy Canada Day!
